Millennials and Gen Zers may disagree on many things, but one of the hottest topics is physical books versus e-readers—essentially, which is better. I will refrain from giving my opinion (you know, because my influence is so strong). Still, I will say that e-readers are popular for their convenience and portability, which certified bookworms strive for.

This is also something that Amazon Kindle has mastered, which is why the brand’s devices are the best in the game. Speaking of, Amazon recently launched a new version of its beloved device: the Amazon Kindle Colorsoft Signature Edition. Before we get into the nitty-gritty of the cool specs, it’s worth noting that it’s already on sale for 20% off during the Amazon Big Spring Sale.

Now, this is considered newsworthy (at least to bookworms like me) because of the latest additions to the new device. While the E Ink Kaleido 3 display it uses isn’t new, the screen (which is 7 inches) has better contrast and lighting, making reading more achievable. The display also automatically adapts to your particular setting or ambiance, depending on brightness and lighting factors.

Probably the biggest change of all, though, is that the Kindle Colorsoft is made for reading in color rather than black and white, which is especially good for picture books, comic strips, manga, and more. Oh, and it’s waterproof, so if you want to read by the pool, the bathtub, or the ocean, you can certainly do so without any hesitation.

Who knows when this device will be on sale again after the Big Spring Sale ends? It’s new, after all, so we might not see it marked down again for a while.
