Whenever there's Sarah J. Maas news, a good portion of the world stops to listen. For quite some time, the famed fantasy author has had readers and those on #BookTok in a chokehold with her ongoing series, A Court of Thorns and Roses. If you've also been held captive by Maas and the characters of Prythian she created, then you'll be delighted to know that the author announced the future release of books 6 and 7 of the series, and they're coming sooner than you might think.
It's important to note that both Maas and Bloomsbury (her publisher) are referring to the releases of these two new books as ACOTAR 6 and 7. However, considering that the fourth book, A Court of Frost and Starlight, is more of a novella, these two new releases are technically the fifth and sixth novels.
ACOTAR 6 will release on October 27, 2026. This is Part 1 of a new overarching story told across 4 parts. The story continues with ACOTAR 7 (containing parts 2 and 3), which will release on January 12, 2027. Eventually, there will be a future book covering part 4.
ACOTAR as a whole follows the mystical life of protagonist Feyre, who readers meet as a girl who is just trying to provide for her sisters and widower father as they struggle to make ends meet in their small village. Given its immense popularity and the announcement of the two new books, I was pretty stoked (and shocked) to see that the complete book bundle (1–5) is currently 48% off on Amazon. Usually, the entire paperback series sells for $95, but now that it’s almost half off, you can snag every book in the A Court of Thorns and Roses set for $50.
Sarah J. Maas fans (or soon-to-be-fans) need not pass this deal up. If you’ve been putting off reading the series for a while, this is your literal sign to finally start. Even if you have already read all previous five books in the series, you can still snatch this up and gift it to another bookworm in your life.
Now, if you’re trying to figure out what ACOTAR is about—or if you’re trying to find the best way to explain to someone else what the plot is—here’s the TLDR: A Court of Thorns and Roses follows the life of 19-year-old Feyre. Feyre, a natural hunter, bites off more than she can chew when she kills a High Fae while out on one of her missions. She’s punished by other High Fae and is forced to leave her family and live the rest of her life in the mystical land of Prythian that's filled with faeries, demons, and other worrisome figures. During her banishment, she learns a lot about herself and whether her “fate” is really random after all.
The first book in the series is A Court of Thorns and Roses, followed by A Court of Mist and Fury, A Court of Wings and Ruin, A Court of Frost and Starlight, and A Court of Silver Flames. All five books are included in the Amazon bundle deal.
