Zac Efron isn’t just throwing it back to the High School Musical days as of late. The A Family Affair star reignited fashion nostalgia with slip-on Van sneakers during his trip to St. Tropez over the 4th of July weekend. Efron was spotted hanging out in a crisp white t-shirt, brown baseball hat, and navy blue skinny trousers. The longtime actor then accessorized us with simple black sunglasses, a wristwatch, and Vans, which have us returning to those 2016 Vine days (that “D*amn, Daniel” video reserves a permanent spot in our memory).
With comfort taking a priority in fashion these past few years, Vans have remained a popular go-to shoe. Efron is wearing the brand's Classic Slip-On Sneakers in true white, which are available on Amazon at a discounted price of 34% off for Prime members.
The $43 shoes are considered unisex, as the website converts sizes for both men and women. “Classic shoe, still excellent quality and way better price than at a Vans store,” one reviewer wrote. Others praised the comfort of the shoe, advising that it may take a few days to break them in. The Vans are offered in black, charcoal, navy, black and white, and three other checkered patterns with different coloring.
Aside from Efron’s stylish vacay, the actor has been swirling around social channels after revisiting his major film roles, including his infamous Disney days. In Vanity Fair’s ‘Scene Selection’ series, The Greatest Showman actor (which also starred Hugh Jackman and Zendaya) revealed that he improvised the dance scenes of one of his most well-known High School Musical songs, Bet On It. “I don’t know, we’re on a golf course,” the actor said. “That was all improv, and we shot it, I think, the whole song in three hours,” he added. And get this: in the Bet On It dance scene, Efron is also wearing (now vintage) Vans. Coincidence? Probably, but we’d like to think not.
