The 2024 Golden Globes brought the red carpet glamour, the laughs, and the inspiring acceptance speeches on Sunday, January 7. And now that the trophies have been given and the champagne glasses have been clinked, we’ve rounded up some of the highlights you may have missed from the award show—from star-studded reunions to awkward snubs, as well as so much PDA.

Wonka star Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner made their relationship red carpet official at the award show and were seen chatting and sharing sweet kisses throughout the ceremony.

Taylor was unamused by Jo Koy’s joke about her

Swift, nominated for a Golden Globe for her Eras Tour film, appeared very unamused when host Jo Koy made a joke about her NFL game-day appearances. “The big difference between the Golden Globes and the NFL? At the Golden Globes, we have fewer camera shots of Taylor Swift,” he said.

The camera switched over to her, showing that Swift didn’t laugh but instead took a long sip of her drink. “Sorry about that,” Koy said quickly. Swift, as we all know, makes it out to NFL games a lot these days, to support her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

Ayo Edebiri gave the most relatable acceptance speech

The Bear star accepted the award for Best Actress in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy and, after thanking her castmates and family, made sure to acknowledge the people who really make it all happen: the executive assistants of Hollywood.

“There’s so many people who I probably forgot to thank—oh my God! Oh my God! All of my agent and managers’ assistants! The people who answer my emails!” Edebiri exclaimed to applause and laughter. “Y’all are real ones! Thank you for answering my crazy, crazy emails.” The camera then panned to Swift, in the audience, who was nodding her head in agreement.

When Kieran Culkin poked fun at Pedro Pascal

Kieran Culkin jokingly roasted fellow actor Pedro Pascal while accepting the award for Best Actor in a Television Series – Drama. “Suck it, Pedro. Mine!” he snapped, holding his trophy.

Culkin won for his work as Roman Roy in HBO’s Succession. Pascal was up for the award, too, for his performance in The Last of Us.

Lily Gladstone dedicated her win to Native American kids

Lily Gladstone made history as the first Indigenous woman to win Best Actress in a Motion Picture - Drama at the Golden Globes, receiving the award for playing Mollie Burkhart in Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon.

The film follows the serial killings of Osage Nation members in 1920s Oklahoma, masterminded by William Hale (played by Robert De Niro) and his nephew Ernest Burkhart (Leonardo DiCaprio), husband to oil heiress Mollie.

Gladstone concluded a powerful acceptance speech by dedicating the win to “every little rez kid, every little urban kid, every little Native kid out there who has a dream, who is seeing themselves represented and our stories told by ourselves, in our own words, with tremendous allies and tremendous trust.”

Jennifer Lawrence and Lenny Kravitz’s Hunger Games reunion

Jennifer Lawrence played lead Katniss Everdeen, while Lenny Kravitz played Katniss’s creative stylist, Cinna, in the first two Hunger Games films. Both were nominated for Golden Globes this year.
