The actress recently hit the red carpet for the season 2 premiere of Nobody Wants This in a glamorous black-and-purple ombre gown, red lip, and slicked-back updo. The radiant makeup look had us automatically searching for her go-to lip product, and it turns out to be the perfect addition to your chilly weather routine.
Meester’s makeup artist revealed the secret to her flawless lip combo on Instagram: this .15-fluid ounce Talk Back Hydrating Lip Serum. The beauty product is currently $10 at Walmart and $12 at Ulta, and, in full disclosure, the Gossip Girl star seems to be the face of the line. At Ulta, you can purchase the serum in scents watermelon or loud & clear (which is unflavored and fragrance-free). According to the social media post, Leighton uses the watermelon version.
The dermatologist-recommended serum is advertised to hydrate and smooth dry lips, as it contains ingredients such as avocado oil, shea butter, sunflower and pomegranate seed oils, squalane (known for its skin-soothing properties), sodium hyaluronate (for hydration), and vitamin E. Simply swipe the product directly onto your lips with the applicator, and enjoy the clear, glossy, nonsticky finish instantly.
You can apply it to your lips alone or on top of your favorite matte lipstick or gloss. Leighton finished with a sultry red lip, so it’s likely she used it after applying the bold color. Shoppers have described this serum as “super hydrating” and “refreshing,” adding that the “clear looks good over anything, or even by itself.”
