No television show encourages us to take a vacation quite like The White Lotus. The Max series, which has been dropping weekly on Sunday nights, brings viewers to luxury settings that undoubtedly encourage audience members to take a little PTO. With the latest episodes taking place at a wellness resort in Thailand, the makeup artist and makeup department head who worked on all three seasons, Rebecca Hickey, brought out all of the stops to beat the gruesome heat—including a $26 mascara that stood the test of humidity.

Hickey says that the MAKE Beauty Lash Prototype Mascara, available on the brand’s website, was used on “every single woman this season of The White Lotus.” The mascara is a vegan formula made of ingredients such as a beeswax alternative (like sunflower seed wax) and tilia tomentosa bud extract (naturally derived from the linden tree). Hickey used this particular mascara on The White Lotus leading ladies because “it adds so much volume but never smudges, which would have been a disaster with the scorching temperatures of Thailand.” The makeup artist needed a mascara that added “volume and length without budging” to equip the actresses’ glam for long film days properly.

The product is advertised to provide buildable coverage and induce longer, thicker lashes. Apply from the root of your lashes to the tips as usual and layer on additional coats as you see fit. One reviewer even named this makeup item “the best mascara” they’ve ever used, adding that it gives volume with “little effort.”

With the spring and summer seasons coming around the corner, it’s the perfect time to stock up on mascara like this one, which is actually going to withstand long beach days and vacation dinners (because nothing is worse than returning to your hotel room and finding mascara flakes and smudges across your face).

While you’re at it, you might as well stock up on The White Lotus’s best merch or an identical version to Parker Posey’s sold-out Banana Republic dress that she wore during the first episode. Sundays at 9 p.m. can’t come soon enough!
