Selena Gomez wants her fans to feel comfortable in their own skin, a sentiment that seeps through the seams of every move in her career. In her latest Rare Beauty campaign, the actress’s acclaimed cosmetic brand announced the expansion of its Find Comfort body line. Rare Beauty consumers will see the addition of two products, a Bouncy Body Cream and a new version of the already famous Body and Hair Fragrance Mist. The primary point, however, is that both products are intentionally taking on a brand-new fragrance title: Awaken Confidence.
“Scent is so personal for me because it’s a snapshot of where I am mentally and emotionally at the moment,” Gomez explained to Women’s Health earlier.
The new products and scent will launch on Sephora’s app on December 11 and then on Sephora’s website on December 12.
Rare Beauty Awaken Confidence Body & Hair Fragrance Mist
The expansion of Rare Beauty’s body line comes with words from Gomez herself. The original Find Comfort scent is earthy and woody—a vibe meant to be “cozy and comfortable.” The new Awaken Confidence fragrance, however, takes on a completely different aura, which Gomez described as “joyful and vibrant” via notes of peach nectar, sparkling lemon, blue cyclamen, and apricot blossom, accompanied with a hint of white sandalwood.
“When I first smelled the scent, I loved how bright and fresh it was,” Gomez recounted. “I wanted to celebrate that mood with a scent that makes you feel like your best and most confident self.”
The mist is meant to be sprayed around your hair and body—which Gomez considers a “mood booster” throughout the day. It also contains niacinamide, a component known for hydrating and evening out skin tone. The Bouncy Body Cream is a rich, pudding-like consistency that is meant to be begin a renewal process. With its inclusion of hyaluronic acid, your skin will undergo hydration, while also seeing the restoration of any lost bounce and radiance. This is especially great for anybody looking to diminish looks of fine lines, wrinkles, and dullness.
“It has a totally unique texture that feels bouncy and cool to the touch and feels nourishing on the skin,” Gomez said of the cream. “We focused on a formula that feels indulgent but isn’t heavy, sticky, or greasy so that it can be easily layered with the mist.”
Rare Beauty was founded by Gomez back in 2019, with a mission set in place to challenge society’s beauty standards. Through much success and acclaim (from both product testers and commercial consumers), the cosmetic brand has become an empire. In 2023, Rare Beauty announced the Find Comfort body line. This initially included a hydrating body lotion, hydrating hand cream, a soothing aromatherapy pen, and, of course, the body and hair fragrance mist. The new Awaken Confidence fragrance will only add to the legacy Gomez and Rare Beauty have created.
