As Jake Paul arrived for the New York City premiere of his new reality show Paul American on Wednesday, the 28-year-old influencer and boxer was all too happy to walk the red carpet with his new fiancée, Jutta Leerdam.

Dressed in the black, the couple beamed as they walked the red carpet and Jutta flashed her large diamond engagement ring.

Leerdam, a 26-year-old professional speed skater, is prominently featured in Paul American. The Max series focuses on the personal lives and inner circle of Paul and his brother, Logan. The show began Thursday, with new episodes dropping every Thursday through the finale on May 15.

Here’s what to know about Leerdam and her relationship with Paul.

Jutta is a champion speed skater and Olympic medalist

Jutta Leerdam competes in the 1000-meter women’s speed skating race at the 2022 Winter Olympics. She won a silver medal in the event.

Leerdam was born December 30, 1998, in the Netherlands. She began speed skating at age 11 and has won six world championships since turning pro in 2019. At the 2022 Olympic Winter Games in Beijing, Leerdam earned a silver medal in the 1000-meter race. She placed fifth in the 500-meter.

At the 2025 ISU World Speed Skating Single Distances Championships earlier this month, Leerdam won bronze in the 1000-meter, silver in the 500-meter, and gold in the women’s team sprint with fellow Dutch skaters Suzanne Schulting and Angel Daleman. She’ll next turn her attention to training for the 2026 Winter Games in Milan.

In the Netflix documentary series Countdown: Paul vs. Tyson, Leerdam revealed the couple met through Instagram, when Paul asked her to appear on his podcast. “When he hit me up online, I thought, ‘What an arrogant (expletive). He thinks he can do anything, but he won’t get me,’” she explained. “I never expected to date him.” Paul confirmed their relationship in April 2023 on Instagram.

The couple is often apart because of their respective training schedules. “Because we’re a long-distance relationship, whenever she goes to sleep at night, I’ll send her three to five videos making her feel like she’s a part of everything we have going on at night,” Paul said in a 2023 interview.

They just got engaged

While seemingly on a tropical vacation, Paul proposed to Leerdam on March 21. The couple announced the news the next day in a joint Instagram post featuring several photos of the special moment. Both wore white as they celebrated against a picturesque backdrop overlooking a body of water and several mountains. “We can’t wait to spend forever together,” they wrote in the caption.

Leerdam and Paul described it as “the most magical day of our lives” in another caption accompanying a video post with clips from the proposal.

Jutta has a large social media following, too

Like Paul, Leerdam is a popular social media figure with 5 million followers on Instagram and 1.7 million on TikTok. She gained even more visibility by attending Paul’s November 2024 boxing match against Mike Tyson.
