Luke Grimes’ Yellowstone days might be behind him, but he’s leaning into his country aesthetic more than ever.
The 41-year-old, who played Kayce Dutton on Yellowstone, has had several notable releases and performances dating back to January 2024. That month, he shared a new song titled “Burn—Live From Nashville” on Spotify. Next, his self-titled debut country album, Luke Grimes, arrived on March 8. After singing his track “Black Powder” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and performing at Nashville’s the Ryman Auditorium in November, he made his Grand Ole Opry debut on December 5.
Now, just two months into 2025, he’s announced that more music is in the works.
“I still can’t believe I got to play the mother church,” he captioned a video from his concert at Ryman in a February 13 Instagram post. “Over the next few weeks we are going to be releasing some videos recorded live [at The Ryman]. In the meantime, I have been working on new music that will be coming asap. Much love, more soon…”
While release dates for fresh singles or a sophomore album have yet to be announced, Luke’s fans can hardly contain their excitement over his current career pivot.
“Oh man, I love this guy! He’s the whole package! Actor, singer, handsome, and hopefully he is really kind,” one fan commented. “Kayce always and forever. Nice music BTW,” someone else wrote.
“A huge congrats on your music career, Luke. I see wondrous things ahead for you,” another fan remarked. “Congratulations, Luke. I’m glad to see your dreams unfolding. I can’t wait to hear more,” someone else replied. We couldn’t agree more.
