Who Is Rob Kardashian?
Rob Kardashian is one of the Kardashian siblings who shot to fame and fortune in 2007 with their reality show Keeping Up With the Kardashians. Since then, he’s also appeared on the competition shows Dancing With The Stars and The Choice. In 2016, he began dating former stripper Blac Chyna and that same year, the two were the subject of a spin-off series Rob & Chyna.
Robert Arthur Kardashian, Jr. was born on March 17, 1987, the only son and youngest of four children, to parents Kris and Robert Kardashian. When his parents divorced in 1991, his mother married Olympic athlete Bruce Jenner (now Caitlyn). He grew up in a wealthy area of Los Angeles with his three sisters, Kourtney, Kim and Khloé and his two half-sisters, Kendall and Kylie Jenner. His father, who was one of the “dream team” lawyers in the O.J. Simpson murder trial, died from esophageal cancer in 2003. Kardashian graduated from the University of Southern California with a business degree in 2009. That same year, his sister Khloé married NBA star Lamar Odom - the couple split in 2016. Kanye West became Kardashian’s brother-in-law in 2014 when the rapper married his sister Kim.
Career Highlights and Personal Life
Kardashian and his family became part of pop culture when their reality show Keeping Up With The Kardashians debuted in 2007. After he graduated from college, signs pointed to him continuing on to law school, but it was soon revealed on Twitter that he hadn’t applied. Instead, he parlayed the fame and name recognition from the show into appearances on other reality/competition shows like Dancing with the Stars and The Choice.
In 2012, he launched a designer sock business called Arthur George, the brand name a combination of both his and his father’s middle names.
In 2016, it was announced that Kardashian would star in another reality show spin-off entitled Rob & Chyna, which premiered in September. Kardashian had started a relationship with former stripper and media personality Angela Renée White, known as Blac Chyna, earlier that year. The couple welcomed their first child together, a daughter, Dream Renee Kardashian, on November 10, 2016.
In December 2016, Kardashian was rushed to the hospital due to a health scare that was related to his diabetes. Around that time, it was announced that he and Blac Chyna had ended their engagement.
During an interview with Andy Cohen in January 2019, the Kardashian sisters revealed that Rob would be returning to their long-running family show for its 16th season.
