After a range of small parts in television, she became known for her role as Ursula in Mad About You (1992), then achieved a major success as Phoebe Buffay (Ursula's ??twin sister??) in the acclaimed television series Friends (1994??2004). Her feature films include Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion (1997), The Opposite of Sex (1998), Happy Endings (2005), and P.S. I Love You (2007).

Kudrow currently stars as Fiona Wallice in an improvisational online web series called Web Therapy on Lstudio.com. The series has featured guest stars such as Jane Lynch, Molly Shannon, and Selma Blair, amongst others.
