Outlaw Belle Starr (born Myra Belle Shirley in 1848) associated with the infamous Younger family, and rustled cattle and horses in Texas with first husband Jim Reed. Dressing in flamboyant outfits, she declared herself the “bandit queen.” In 1880 she became the common-law wife of Sam Starr, and their Oklahoma ranch became a hideout for outlaws.
