Biography of writer Edgar Allan Poe's The Murders in the Rue Morgue is credited with being the world's first murder mystery and creating a new genre for novels. Similar to Poe's own personality, the book dealt with rationality and irrationality, order and chaos, and surprisingly with murders which were committed by a knife wielding orangutan.
