St. Lucy, also known as St. Lucia, is a Christian icon and martyr figure.


Perhaps born during the 3rd century A.D., St. Lucy’s background is shrouded in mystery. It is said she’d renounced worldly pursuits and chose to remain a virgin, subsequently being assailed and miraculously staving off death. Her feast day is on December 13 and often tied to Christmas.
