Writer, Critic, Philosopher, Theologian (1813–1855)
Søren Kierkegaard was a 19th century Danish philosopher who wrote about Christian belief systems and helped birth existentialism.


Born on May 5, 1813, in Copenhagen, Denmark, Søren Kierkegaard went on to pursue work as a philosopher, publishing books like Either/Or, Stages on Life’s Way and Works of Love. He critiqued much of the dominant Christian ideology of the day and undertook ideological explorations seen as the birth of existentialism. He died on November 11, 1855.
