British poet Robert Graves is best known for writing his first volumes of poetry, primarily about war, while serving at the Western Front during World War I. He also worked as a translator and novelist. He produced more than 140 works during his lifetime and has never been out of print. His best known works are The White Goddess, Claudius the God and Count Belisarius.
