Paulette Goddard was an American actress best known for her film performances and her marriage to Charlie Chaplin and Burgess Meredith.


Paulette Goddard was an American film and stage actress who got a very early start on her career as a child fashion model. She moved to Broadway as a Ziegfeld Girl, performing the elaborate Ziegfeld Follies productions. Goddard went on to become a major star of the Paramount Studios in films including So Proudly We Hail!, Variety Girl, and The Diary of a Chambermaid.
