Paul Warfield is a former professional American football wide receiver from Warren, Ohio, known for his grace on the field in the 1960s and 1970s.


Former professional American football wide receiver Paul Warfield was born on November 28, 1942 in Warren, Ohio. Warfield’s talent on the field began to be noticed in high school where he became a varsity athlete at Warren G. Harding High School. He then excelled on the field during his college years at Ohio State University. In his professional career, the receiver was known for his grace on the field in the 1960s and 1970s. After graduating, his pro career began with the Cleveland Browns as a wide receiver in 1964, helping lead them to four league championship games.

In 1970 he played with the Miami Dolphins and played in three Super Bowl games with the team. Warfield was inducted in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1983 and has also been honored by both the Miami Dolphins and Cleveland Browns for his achievements.
