Pat Robertson is a television evangelist best known for founding the Christian Coalition, an influential conservative political organization.


Ex-Baptist minister Pat Robertson started the country's first Christian television station and eventually built it into the Christian Broadcasting Network. He unsuccessfully campaigned to become the Republican Party's nominee in the 1988 presidential election but is still a influential public voice for conservative Christianity in the United States.
