German chemist Martin Klaproth Heinrich discovered a number of elements in the 19th century, including uranium and zirconium.


Born in Germany in 1743, chemist Martin Klaproth Heinrich was the leading chemist of his time and discovered a number of elements, including uranium and zirconium. He was the first professor of chemisty at the University of Berlin.
