Luis Buñuel was a Spanish filmmaker known for his personal obsessions magnified in his work and his Surreal approach.


Luis Buñuel went to the University of Madrid, where he became friends with Salvador Dalí and Federico García Lorca, who would both influence his art. Buñuel was noted especially for his early Surrealist films and his unique style and controversial obsession with social injustice, religious excess, gratuitous cruelty and eroticism in such films as L’Age Dor and Un Chien Andalou.
