
John Houseman Biography
Synopsis
John Houseman was born September 22, 1902 in Bucharest, Romania. His first major job in the theatre was as director of Virgil Thomson's opera Four Saints in Three Acts in 1934. In the 1940s he moved to Hollywood, where he produced 19 films. In 1973 he acted in The Paper Chase. His performance earned him an Academy Award, and he appeared in numerous other similar roles in films and TV programs.
