Heinrich Eberbach was a prominent German military officer and commander during World Wars I and II.


Born on November 24, 1895, in Stuttgart, Germany, Heinrich Eberbach served in World War I, rising to the rank of lieutenant. He worked for the German police during peace time and rejoined the military in the mid-1930s as a major. Eberbach was known for leading forces against France and Eastern European nations during World War II, ultimately taken prisoner by the British. He died on July 13, 1992.
