Hank Bauer, born in East Saint Louis, Missouri, was an American baseball player, who spent most of his career with the New York Yankees as an outfielder. In the time he played for the Yankees (1948-1959), they won nine pennants and seven World Series Championships. Following his playing career, he took his hard work ethic to managing baseball clubs.
