Linda Brown, the child at the center of the 1954 Brown vs. Board of Education Supreme Court case, has died. The case dismantled federal education laws that allowed segregated schools for black and white students, although Brown never got the chance to attend unsegregated school.
The HBO documentary 'Robin Williams: Come Inside My Mind' explores the late comedian's insatiable need to keep people laughing. "That laugh is a drug," notes fellow funnyman Billy Crystal in the doc. "That thrill is really hard to replace with anything else."
Amelia Boynton Robinson was a civil rights pioneer who championed voting rights for African Americans. She was brutally beaten for helping to lead a 1965 civil rights march, which became known as Bloody Sunday and drew national attention to the Civil Rights Movement. She was also the first black woman to run for Congress in Alabama.
