Australian actor Errol Flynn was celebrated as the screen's foremost swashbuckler. He had a reputation as an irrepressible drinker and womanizer.


In 1933 Errol Flynn was offered a role in In the Wake of the Bounty. He took a few roles in British films and ultimately scored a contract with Warner Bros. in Hollywood. He went on to star in such colorful costume dramas as The Charge of the Light Brigade also some big-budget westerns. After some legal trouble, he had a brief resurgence of popularity with The Sun Also Rises.
