British journalist and author Edward Samuel Behr was a foreign correspondent for Reuters, Time, and Newsweek.


Born May 7, 1926, British journalist Edward Samuel Behr served in the Indian army's intelligence division during WWII, then graduated from Cambridge University in 1953. As a foreign correspondent, Behr covered everything from the Cuban missile crisis to the Tet Offensive for Reuters, Time, and Newsweek. His books include Hirohito: Behind the Myth (1989) and The Last Emperor (1987, also film).
