Chris DeWolfe created the original MySpace in 1998. A few years later, Tom Anderson helped him reinvent the concept and the duo relaunched the site in 2003. Originally designed for musicians to share music with their fans, MySpace quickly became the rage among teens and 20-somethings. It has since evolved into one of the most popular social networking website on the Internet.
Internet entrepreneur. After graduating from the University of Southern California, DeWolfe created the original MySpace.com in 1998. A few years later, Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation purchased MySpace.com for $580 million. By 2006, MySpace reportedly had more than 106 million accounts and 230,000 new registrations per day.
