Birthplaces of 50 African-American History Makers

February is Black History Month, a celebration of the accomplishments made by members of the African-American community. Based on your Biography.com searches, we compiled a list of the 50 most-searched African-Americans and created an interactive map of where they were born in the United States and Canada. While many of the figures are from the eastern half of the country, the map stretches as far west as Honolulu, Hawaii and as north as Toronto, Canada.
