Baby news broke early on Monday at Kensington Palace with the announcement that Prince William and Kate Middleton are expecting their third child: “Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their third child. The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news.”
The statement also revealed that Kate Middleton is suffering from severe morning sickness as she had during her pregnancies with Prince George, who is now four years old, and Princess Charlotte, who is two.
“As with her previous two pregnancies, The Duchess is suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum,” the statement explained, “Her Royal Highness will no longer carry out her planned engagement at the Hornsey Road Children’s Centre in London today. The Duchess is being cared for at Kensington Palace.”
According to People magazine, Kate is believed to be less than 3 months pregnant, and the announcement was made because of her illness.
