It's the wedding of the year! We gathered the facts about the upcoming royal nuptials.

Ever since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced their engagement, from the best man and the flowers to the dress designer, the world has been anxiously waiting to hear every single detail. Here's what we know about the royal wedding:

When is Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding?

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding will take place on May 19, 2018. The wedding will being at 12 pm GMT (7 am ET).

Where is the wedding ceremony taking place?

The ceremony will happen at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle, the same place Harry was baptized in 1984. “Her Majesty The Queen has granted permission for the wedding to take place at the Chapel,” Kensington Palace said in a statement. “The Royal Family will pay for the wedding.”

Who is designing Meghan Markle's wedding dress?

While no official wedding dress designer has been announced, it is rumored that Markle will wear two dresses designed by the London-based couture house, Ralph & Russo.

What will Prince Harry be wearing?

As a Captain General of the Royal Marines, it is expected that the prince will wear his full uniform and medals, just like his brother, Prince William, did for his 2011 nuptials.

Who is the officiant performing the ceremony?

The Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, will officiate the couple's vows, and the Dean of Windsor and the Right Reverend, David Conner, will conduct the rest of the service.

Will there be a post-ceremony carriage procession?

After the ceremony at 1 pm GMT (8 am ET), the newlyweds will have a carriage procession through Windsor. They will ride in "one of five Ascot Landaus in the Royal Mew." (pictured above)

Where is the wedding reception?

Around 600 people were invited to the ceremony at St George’s Chapel and Queen Elizabeth II’s lunchtime reception at St George’s Hall, which will follow. There will be a smaller reception later the night for around 200 of the couple's closest friends and family.

What do the invitations look like?

According Kensington Palace's official Instagram account, "the invitations follow many years of Royal tradition and have been made by Barnard & Westwood. They feature the Three-Feathered Badge of the Prince of Wales printed in gold ink."

Who is invited to the royal wedding?

Look forward to seeing a bunch of familiar faces - both royal and non-royal. Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince Charles, Camilla Parker Bowles, Queen Elizabeth, Prince Philip, Prince Andrew, Pippa Middleton, and Prince Harry's cousins Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice are expected to attend.

There has been a lot of drama surrounding Markle's extended family, many of whom were not invited, but regardless, her parents, Doria Radland and Thomas Markle, will be in attendance.

Also expected to attend the royal wedding? Markle's good friend Priyanka Chopra confirmed that she will be there, and Serena Williams, David BeckhamVictoria Beckham and the Spice Girls, Elton John, Markle's Suits costars Patrick J. Adams and Abigail Spencer are rumored to have scored invites. Cara Delevingne, James Blunt, Joss Stone, and Harry's exes Griselda Bonas and Chelsy Davy are also possible faces you may see.

Who is Prince Harry's best man?

The palace confirmed on April 26 that Prince William will be, of course, Prince Harry's best man. 

Does Meghan Markle have a maid of honor?

After much speculation that Markle would choose longtime friend Jessica Mulroney as her maid of honor, on May 4 Kensington Palace stated that Markle opted not to have one. "She has a very close-knit circle of friends and she didn't want to choose one over another," a spokesman from Kensington Palace said. "All have been actively involved in helping her prepare for the day and will be there in the days beforehand. She's very happy to have their support."

Will Prince George and Princess Charlotte be in the wedding party?

On May 16, 2018, the palace confirmed that Prince George and Princess Charlotte will be a pageboy and bridesmaid.

How will Prince Harry honor his mother, the late Princess Diana?

The palace released a statement on May 4 that said, "All three siblings of Diana, Princess of Wales will be in attendance and Lady Jane Fellowes will give the reading. Prince Harry and Ms. Markle both feel honoured that Lady Jane will be representing her family and helping to celebrate the memory of the late Princess on the wedding day."

Also, Markle's engagement ring contains diamonds from Diana's personal collection.

What kind of flowers did the couple pick?

London-based florist Philippa Craddock will be preparing the flowers for the big day. Expect Markle's bouquet to contain myrtle, an evergreen shrub that is traditionally used in  royal bouquets. Craddock will also use white garden roses, foxgloves and peonies.

Who is making the royal wedding cake?

Claire Ptak, owner of London-based Violet Bakery, will create a lemon elderflower wedding cake topped with fresh flowers. “I can’t tell you how delighted I am to be chosen to make Prince Harry and Ms. Markle’s wedding cake,” Ptak said in a statement. “Knowing that they really share the same values as I do about food provenance, sustainability, seasonality and most importantly flavor, makes this the most exciting event to be a part of.”

Will Prince Harry wear a wedding ring?

It is not required for Harry to wear a wedding band (his brother, Prince William does not!), but it's being reported that he will wear a ring made from Clogau Welsh gold.

Who is walking Meghan Markle down the aisle?

The palace confirmed on May 4 that Markle's father, Thomas, will walk her down that aisle.

The statement also said that "Thomas Markle and Ms. Doria Ragland will be arriving in the UK in the week of the wedding, allowing time for Prince Harry's family, including The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, and The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, to spend time with them before the big day."

UPDATE 5/14/18: It is being reported that Thomas Markle suffered a heart attack and will not be going to the wedding. This news comes on the heels of confirmation that he staged paparazzi photos of him preparing for the wedding. "This is a deeply personal moment for Ms. Markle in the days before her wedding. She and Prince Harry ask again for understanding and respect to be extended to Mr. Markle in this difficult situation," the palace said in a statement.

UPDATE 5/17/18: After much back and forth whether Thomas would attend the wedding, Meghan confirmed that he will not be in attendance. "Sadly, my father will not be attending our wedding. I have always cared for my father and hope he can be given the space he needs to focus on his health," she said in a statement. "I would like to thank everyone who has offered generous messages of support. Please know how much Harry and I look forward to sharing our special day with you on Saturday."

UPDATE 5/18/18: Prince Charles will be walking Meghan down the aisle. “The Prince of Wales is pleased to be able to welcome Ms. Markle to The Royal Family in this way," the palace said in a statement. Markle will walk herself down the first half of the aisle until she reaches the Quire, where Prince Charles will greet her and escort her down the second half.

Will Prince Harry and Meghan Markle kiss on the balcony?

Unfortunately for onlookers, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will not follow royal tradition and kiss on the balcony of Buckingham Palace. St. George's Chapel, where the couple will be saying "I do," is quite a distance from Buckingham Palace and logistically, it won't work out.

What will be Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's royal title?

It is rumored the couple will get the title the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

What do you get for the couple who has everything? The couple said that in lieu of gifts, guests can donate to their favorite charities: Chiva Projects, Crisis, Corporal Scotty, Myna Mahila, Surfers Against Sewage, Street Games, and Wilderness UK.

The couple selected Alexi Lubomirski to take their official wedding portraits. The fashion photographer also took their engagement photos. “I could not be more thrilled or honored to photograph this historic occasion,” Lubomirski said. “Having taken Prince Harry and Ms. Markle’s engagement photos, it brings me such joy to be able to witness again, the next chapter in this wonderful love story.”

Where are Prince Harry and Meghan Markle going for their honeymoon?

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are going to wait a bit to go on their honeymoon due to royal duties, but that are expected to eventually go to Namibia for their honeymoon.
