On August 9, 1969 a group of Charles Manson's followers broke into the home 0f actress Sharon Tate and director Roman Polanski and brutally murdered the pregnant actress along with four of her house guests. At the time Polanski was out of the country working on a film project.
Surrounding this macabre, tragic event were other heinous Manson murders. He believed that he and his followers were chosen to usher in "Helter Skelter," an apocalyptic race war between whites and blacks.
