Born 105 years ago on August 15, 1912, American chef Julia Child discovered her love for the culinary arts at the age of 32. From there she offered the American public her take on French cuisine in an approachable manner, first through her famous cookbook, Mastering the Art of French Cooking, and then through her various television cooking programs that started from the 1960s through the 1990s.
