Celebrities and outrageous behavior have always gone hand in hand. In fact, it's their extravagant lifestyles, ostentatious displays of wealth, romantic scandals, and brazen attitudes that keep us coming back for more. Dressing in slabs of meat, leaving $15 million to a dog, and collecting 3,000 pairs of shoes are only some of the bizarre and extreme things celebrities do from time to time. On 11/11/11, we look at 11 celebrities whose personalities and lives are so over the top they go off the charts—all the way to 11.

Donald Trump How could someone who calls himself "The Donald" be anything short of an 11? This business magnate and TV personality once fancied himself a presidential contender, but it's his obsession with opulence, and his loud personality, for which he's best known. Everything in his opulent 3-story apartment at the top of Manhattan's Trump Tower is made of solid gold—yes, even the toilets. The apartment is worth an estimated $50 million.

Imelda Marcos Once an 11, always an 11. Imelda Marcos might hold political office in the Philippines now, but she'll always be known for her extravagance and obsession with shopping, as the wife of the former president. When her husband was ousted after plundering his country's wealth, Imelda's closet was uncovered in the presidential palace. Marcos left behind 15 mink coats, 1000 handbags, and most famously, 3,000 pairs of shoes.

Hugh Hefner Founder of Playboy magazine Hugh Hefner has spent a lifetime surrounded by women wearing bikinis—if that. He's turned his appetite for beautiful women into an empire that includes famously wild parties at his Playboy Mansion and affairs with countless Playboy bunnies. As an octogenarian, this 11 starred in a reality show about life with his multiple girlfriends.

Charlie Sheen Anyone who claims to have tiger's blood is an 11 in our book. No words can describe the outrageous actor, so maybe it's a good thing he speaks for himself: "I am on a drug. It's called Charlie Sheen. It's not available. If you try it once, you will die. Your face will melt off and your children will weep over your exploded body." We couldn't have said it better.

Lady Gaga Lady Gaga has worn a dress made of meat; attached horn-like ridges to her cheeks and shoulders; and dressed as her male alter ego. She's given performances where she's spurted blood, and others where she's bitten to death. Lady Gaga's working hard to make herself this generation's 11.

Caligula Caligula is perhaps the original 11. The Roman emperor dressed as various gods, engaged in incest, and was so cruel his name has become synonymous with evil. Caligula derived amusement from ordering the random killings of his subjects. At some games he is said to have ordered a section of the crowd thrown into the arena to be eaten by animals—because he was bored.

Liberace The flamboyant Las Vegas piano player was perhaps the most popular, and definitely the most extravagant, performer of his day. Liberace did ostentatious glamour like no else could. After each performance, he would invite the audience onto the stage to touch his clothes and jewelry. When criticized, Liberace always famously responded that he'd "cried all the way to the bank."

Leona Helmsley Leona Helmsley was a real estate investor and the notoriously awful "Queen of Mean." She disinherited family members, terrorized her employees and reportedly once said, "We don't pay taxes. Only the little people pay taxes." Helmsley spent 16 months in federal prison for mail fraud and tax evasion. When she died, with few friends left, she left $12 million to Trouble, her Maltese dog.

Karl Lagerfeld Fashion authority Karl Lagerfeld has headed the most high-end design houses in the world. Haughty and imperious, he was the inspiration for the tyrannical Mugatu character in 2001's Zoolander. He's called Heidi Klum a "nobody", he's much-despised by PETA, and he once lost 90 pounds to fit into more fashionable clothes.

Zsa Zsa Gabor The extravagant actress is known more for her outrageous persona than her acting chops. Gabor once slapped a police officer who pulled her over for traffic violations, and she was escorted off a flight for letting her dogs wander the cabin. "I'm a marvelous housekeeper. Every time I leave a man, I keep his house," said Gabor, who's been married nine times.

Kanye West He's a super-successful rapper and producer, but Kanye West's mouth lands him in the most trouble when he's just talking. He famously said that "George Bush doesn't care about black people" on live TV, and interrupted Taylor Swift's award acceptance speech. Kanye's incredible swagger gets him notice, too. With statements like "I am God's vessel. But my greatest pain in life is that I will never be able to see myself perform live," even he thinks he's an 11.
