Ann Curry has reported from some pretty treacherous places, but a hike in New York's Harriman State Park took the Emmy-winning TV journo down last month.

While hiking with her family, Curry broke her ankle, but Boy Scout Troop 368 from Berkeley Heights, New Jersey were there to save the day. The boys whipped into action and "MacGyvered" a splint and a stretcher to carry Curry down a mountain, according to Scouting Magazine.

In honor of those quick thinking scouts, we're taking a look at some other famous scouts who have gone on to do some pretty interesting things.
