Dr. Keith W. Huxen is a native of southern Louisiana. He holds a BA in history and political science from Louisiana State University and a Ph. D. in American history from George Washington University. For nearly a decade, he was a teaching professor and college administrator at the Baton Rouge Community College, where he reached the rank of an Associate Professor teaching American history. He has taught modern European history at Louisiana State University and the University of New Orleans. He has lectured at Harris Manchester and Pembroke colleges, Oxford University, and was most recently published in the Oxford Forum on Public Policy.
In 2011, Huxen joined The National WWII Museum in New Orleans, LA, where he is the Samuel Zemurray Stone Senior Director of Research and History for the Museum. In August 2013, he was the featured tour historian for the Museum’s inaugural battlefield tour of Russia and he served as the Curator of the Museum’s special exhibition “Manufacturing Victory: The Arsenal of Democracy” which opened in November 2014.
