The Santa Clause is the story of divorced ad exec Scott Calvin who's thrust into the role of the world's most benevolent father figure--a story that turned the Santa myth on its head becoming the surprise hit of the 1994 holiday season in the process. Through exclusive interviews with stars Tim Allen, Wendy Crewson, Judge Reinhold and David Krumholtz as well as director John Pasquin and others, Inside Story takes us behind the scenes where an overheated fat suit and unnaturally high set temperature caused the denizens of this North Pole to pass out with alarming frequency, and rejected scripts and under budgeted special effects threatened to sink the production before it got off the ground. When it finally limped into theaters, though, the filmmakers found The Santa Clause made the season bright.
