Ray Charles

A look at the life of the musical legend who combined rock 'n' roll with gospel and soul to create a new style in such hits as "Hit the Road Jack," and "Georgia on My Mind." After having overcome many hardships in his life, including blindness at age seven, and drug addiction later on, Charles went on to win 12 Grammy Awards and secure a place in music history. Ray Charles died on June 10, 2004, at age 73.
