Thomas Carlyle biography

Thomas Carlyle was born on December 4, 1795, in Galloway, Scotland. From 1823–'24, he published installments of a Life of Schiller in London Magazine. From 1833–'34, he published Sartor Resartus. When he published The French Revolution in 1837, he became a prominent writer of his day. His later works included a biography of Frederick the Great. Carlyle died on February 5, 1881 in London, England.
