Theodosius Dobzhansky was a 20th century scientist, professor and author who did pioneering work in genetics and evolution.
Born on January 25, 1900 in Nemirov, Ukraine, scientist Theodosius Dobzhansky eventually immigrated to the U.S. and worked as a professor and researcher before publishing in 1937 Genetics and the Origin of Species, a pioneering examination of the interplay between genetics and evolution. Future works included Mankind Evolving and The Biology of Ultimate Concern.
