Theodor Herzl biography

Theodor Herzl was born on May 2, 1860, in Budapest, Hungary. From 1879 to 1882, he was a journalist for Allgemeine Zeitung of Vienna. Afterward, he became a correspondent for the Vienna Neue Freie Presse in Paris and covered the Dreyfus Affair. In response to the anti-Semitism he witnessed, he started the World Zionist Organization and served as its president. He died on July 3, 1904, in Edlach, Austria.
