American dancer and choreographer Savion Glover is best known for his unique style of tapping dancing, called "hitting."
American dancer and choreographer Savion Glover began taking tap lessons at age seven. At the age of 19, he became the youngest-ever recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts grant. In 1995, he choreographed and starred in the musical Bring in 'Da Noise, Bring in 'Da Funk, a hugely successful Broadway show that chronicled African American history. He won a Tony for best choreographer.
