Brooklyn, New York-born novelist Robert Stone is the author of numerous novels, best known for his dark humor and political commentary. Stone's first novel, A Hall of Mirrors, won both a Houghton Mifflin Literary Fellowship and a William Faulkner Foundation Award. His other works include Dog Soldiers, which won the 1975 National Book Award; Who'll Stop the Rain?; and A Flag for Sunrise.
