African American baseball player Reggie Jackson boasted an impressive career throughout the 70's, but cinched his spot as a legend when he hit three home runs in Game 6 of the 1977 World Series, the most home runs ever by one player in a World Series game. He earned the nickname "Mr. October" for his impressive post-season performances. He was inducted to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1993.
