Otto Hahn biography

Otto Hahn was born on March 8, 1879, in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. After studying chemistry at the University of Marbug, Hahn moved to London to study radioactivity with Sir William Ramsay. It became a lifelong interest. In 1938, Hahn and radiochemist Fritz Strassmann discovered nuclear fission. They were awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1944. Hahn died on July 28, 1968.
