M. Carl Holman biography

In 1962, M. Carl Holman joined the staff of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights. Two years later he became VP of programs at the National Urban Coalition, an organization that was formed after the inner-city race riots of 1967. While serving as the organization's president, Holman advocated programs in housing, education, employment opportunities, job training and economic development.
