John Hall biography

John Hall was born 1934, in Denver, Colorado. Working with Theodor W. Hänsch, Hall conducted prizewinning research on measuring optical frequencies. Practical applications of the work of Hall and Hänsch included the development of very accurate clocks, improved satellite-based navigation systems such as the Global Positioning System, and the synchronization of computer data networks.
