Jean Renoir biography

Jean Renoir was born on September 15, 1894, in Paris, France. In 1934,he directed his first movie, La Fille de l'eau. He became an U.S. citizen in 1946. Also in the 1940s, he signed with two major movie studios. In the 1950s he kept active in theater. He wrote a biography of his father in the 1960s and likewise directed C'est la Revolution. He died February 12, 1979, in Los Angeles, California.
