Jean Cocteau biography
Jean Cocteau was a French poet, playwright, artist and film director. Perhaps his greatest play is The Infernal Machine. His first film was The Blood of a Poet (1930). He also directed the 1946 version of Beauty and the Beast. Cocteau was associated with a group of composers known as Les Six and was friends with some of society's biggest movers-and-shakers, notably Pablo Picasso and Coco Chanel.
