Jean-Claude Killy was born on August 30, 1943 near Paris, France. He became the second skier in history to sweep the Alpine events and win all three Olympic gold medals during the 1968 Winter Olympics (downhill, slalom, and giant slalom). He retired in 1968 and signed endorsements with Head Skis, Schwinn bicycles, and Chevrolet automobiles.
